Take a Tour of Our Grounds and Buildings

Bethlehem Baptist Church
Bethlehem Baptist Church officially closed her doors November 1999. The building and property was donated to the Bethlehem Cemetery. The Board of Directors of Bethlehem Cemetery later donated the building and remaining furnishings to Missouri River Valley Steam Engine Association of Boonville, Missouri. The building has been dismantled and moved to the MRVSEA show grounds at I-70 and Hwy 179 (Wooldridge exit)

It is being restored as near as can be determined to her original appearance when she was built in 1889. Upon completion in a couple years MRVSEA plans to showcase the Church's rich history and allow Weddings and other similar occasions. If you would like to visit the new site and the restoration progress see Mr. Dennis Ficken of Missouri River Tire across the highway from the showgrounds. MRVSEA needs and would appreciate any and all donations for this worthy restoration project.

Our Flywheel

One of our members, Richard Adams saw the flywheel at the Transportation Museum in St. Louis. They were trying to find a home for the flywheel along with many other items that Richard brought home. It weighs between 28,000 to 30,000 lbs. The flywheel is 14 ft in diameter and 10 inches thick. Matt Coley and his father, Neil Coley restored the wheel. It's set in a deep pit of concrete with I-beams.
